Musk denies massive layoffs plan on Twitter

It was stated that Elon Musk, the richest person in the world, who is nearing the end of the Twitter deal, does not intend to make a large-scale layoff at the company.

Tesla boss Elon Musk reportedly told Twitter employees Wednesday that he does not plan to lay off 75 percent of employees if he takes over the company.

According to Bloomberg’s report, Musk denied previous reports about the layoffs in a speech at the company’s office in San Francisco.

However, Musk reportedly still has a layoff plan at the company.

The video that Musk shared as he entered the center of Twitter also drew attention. In the video, Musk was seen carrying a kitchen sink as he entered the company’s headquarters.

In the post about the video, Musk used the expressions, “Think carefully before entering the main hub of Twitter.” Musk likewise changed his Twitter profile to “Chief twit”.

Twitter deal is expected to be completed on Friday.

It is reported that the acquisition of the $44 billion Twitter company will be completed on Friday.

Elon Musk, who previously bought a 9.2 percent stake in Twitter, made an offer of $54.2 per share for the entire Twitter, in his notification to the SEC on April 14. In the statement made on April 25 on Twitter, it was reported that the agreement was reached for the sale of the company to Musk.

Musk announced on May 13 that the deal to buy the social media company Twitter for approximately $44 billion was temporarily suspended, and stated that “details of calculations are awaited, with spam and fake accounts accounting for less than 5 percent of total users.”

On July 8, Elon Musk announced that he had terminated the agreement to buy Twitter, citing the violation of multiple provisions. Musk’s lawyers stated in a statement to the SEC that Twitter did not respond or refused to respond to multiple requests for information regarding fake or spam accounts on the platform, which is important to the company’s business performance.

Twitter, on the other hand, sued Musk for terminating the deal.
